90210 is losing the adults: Ryan Eggold and Lori Loughlin will not return next season, TVLine.com reports.

The actors’ contracts were not renewed because there will be less emphasis on teachers and parents in the fourth season, as most of the group will start college, according to the site.

Loughlin’s and Eggold’s characters — mom Deb Wilson and West Bev teacher Ryan Matthews — recently began a romance on the CW drama.

Their departures will follow that of Loughlin’s on-screen husband, Rob Estes, who exited after Season 2.
