90210 starts next week! What can you tell me about season two?
We chatted exclusively with Ryan Eggold (Ryan Matthews), and he says we can expect more complicated romances this season: “The fun thing about season two is that all the relationships from season one have time to become more exciting and more gray; they are less defined,” he said. “I know that I have another love triangle. 2.01 – To New Beginnings – Synopsis Aug 24, 2009

TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 8

SUMMER SCHOOL IS OUT AT WEST BEV AND THE KIDS HIT THE BEVERLY HILLS BEACH CLUB! The group of friends from West Beverly were forced to attend summer school after Annie (Shenae Grimes) called the police on Naomi’s (AnnaLynne McCord) after-prom party. Naomi, Silver (Jessica Stroup) and Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) have formed a close friendship over the summer, while Annie has isolated herself from her friends and family, worried about her hit-and-run accident on prom night. For the remainder of the summer, everyone hangs out at the Beverly Hills Beach Club, where Naomi and Silver meet Teddy (guest star Trevor Donovan, “Days of Our Lives”), a pro-tennis player and the son of a famous movie star. Adrianna is surprised to see her childhood boyfriend and Navid (Michael Steger) organizes a romantic evening with Adrianna, with hopes of finally losing his virginity. Dixon (Tristan Wilds) and Silver try to make their relationship work but a text message may force Dixon to ends things once and for all. Rob Estes, Lori Loughlin and Ryan Eggold also star. Stuart Gillard directed the episode written by executive producer Rebecca Sinclair (#201).

If you have any idea what happens on “90210,” please report it on your fabulous blog asap. I’m dying here without scoop on crazy Annie & co. -Lee
Crazy Annie is in for a tough time. Dark days are on their way for Miss Wilson… I’m assuming this is a turn the writers decided to take in response to everyone’s annoyance over her bubbly enthusiasm last year. Anyway, not only does the whole school hate Annie, but her own brother will be avoiding her come fall. And just when you think things can’t get any worse, Naomi will unleash the scandal of the season on her. Let’s just say Silver and Dixon’s sex video will be old news in no time.

“90210″ spoilers! Now! Are Dixon and Silver done or what? -Caroline
Done and done. I mean, I think they might still be together when the season first starts, but it won’t last long. Dixon’s going to begin dating an older woman, a D.J. in her 20s who’s obsessed with sports. Oh, and p.s., Dixon is going to give surfing the old Brandon Walsh try… except D will take to it quite naturally.

I have to know what’s up with Naomi and Liam next season. Does she know that Jen is the one who seduced him? -D
She knows nothing of the sort. Not yet, anyway. Jen will continue to manipulate the situation, even paying Liam’s mom a visit, telling her that Liam caused Naomi undue stress and that she’d prefer that he keeps his distance.

Is Ryan Matthews staying on “90210″ or is he joining the new “Melrose Place”? -Derrick
Yeah, those “Melrose” rumors keep swirling, but as of now, he’s staying in BH and will continue to fall deeper in love with that Devil-woman, Jen. You’d think a guy like Ryan would be able to see past her b.s., but I guess not.

Hey Korbi, Can you tell me if Adrianna and Navid will stay together even though they’re not getting married anymore? -Mandy
Yep. They’re still together. For the forseeable future, anyway. Seems Navid’s super jealous of the new tennis prodigy guy, Teddy. But that won’t stop Navid from trying to get A into bed with him. Now that she’s without child, it might actually happen for the poor kid…

As far as Naomi (AnnaLynne McCord), Adrianna (Jessica Lowndes) and Annie (Shenae Grimes) being best buds in the second season (something some of you would like to see), AnnaLynne says, “Never. Not going to happen. I’m sorry. I wish.”

Marianne in Toluca Lake, Calif.: Any scoop on 90210? I’m in for the long haul.
Michael Steger tells us, “They’re talking about renovating the Blaze newsroom, so it’s going to be where everything happens and everybody meets up. They’re going to make it very loungey, very comfortable.” (The Blaze newsroom is where we’ll meet Rumer Willis’ character when she guests in a season-two episode.)

Ausiello: As you may have heard through the ‘vine, the teens at West Beverly High will be given a hot summer hangout with the C-dub bringing back the Beverly Hills Beach Club. Much like the original — which was a favorite hangout of Kelly and Brenda, as well as the place where both Brandon and Dylan worked — the new beach-side club will feature a bevy of hot new characters. I mean, it’s not really a beach unless there’s some skin to burn, right?

Question: Is Dustin Milligan not returning to 90210 at all next season? –Becky
Ausiello: Nope. We’ll learn in the Sept. 8 season premiere (via gratuitous exposition) that Ethan decided to stay in Montana with his pa.

MICKEY: At the recent Paley Festival, new show-runner Rebecca Rand Kirshner said, “I was sort of stumped by [Ethan]. I didn’t feel like there was the longevity in that character that I wanted. And so it was a real loss.” Unofficially, I’m hearing that Ethan’s departure has paved the way for a new male lead of a very different stripe. More on him later…
